Events and Festivals

This page is currently under construction, but we do have some exciting things in store for Pikeville's residents.

The following committees. festivals, and events are in the works. If you think you would be interested in helping out with any of them, please email rodneyjarman@pikevillenc.com or katiejohnson@pikevillenc.com

  1. Revitalization Committee: This committee is primarily focused on working with business owners in Pikeville in order to update existing storefronts downtown. Preferably, the majority of this committee would be made up of business owners who are interested in helping themselves and other business owners improve their stores and how downtown Pikeville looks. Eventually, we hope to be able to spread all over Pikeville.
  2. Cardinal Festival Committee: Many small towns are hosting festivals for their residents, and in our opinion, the residents of Pikeville deserve one of the best. We are hard at work on trying to set a date for the first ever Cardinal Festival and are looking for individuals that can help us secure vendors and organize an event that will hopefully keep you coming back every year!
  3. The Greater Pikeville Athletic Committee: This committee will go hand in hand with a new community building that is being discussed. With the hope of adding more athletic fields, we are hoping to offer a place for travel leagues to be able to play and enjoy a nice night out. We are in need of individuals who would be willing to donate their time and hardwork to fix up our current ball fields and raise money for the improvement of dugouts and a new concessions stand.
  4. The Greater Pikeville Community Improvement Committee: Not sure what you want to work on, but know for sure you definitely want to help Pikeville give back to their residents? This committee may be just for you. The GPCIC is what we are calling our "catch-all committee." We want to start back up with our July 4th events like before with vendors in Dee Memorial Park all day leading up to a firework display at night. We are also wanting to perhaps start a nice Trunk-or-Treat event for children of our area that would take place at our park as well. This event would not just be for children. Our spooky Halloween Trail will feature creatures of the night that will be sure to give some a fright. If you are up for a little bit of everything, this group is for you.
