Local Civic Organizations

The American Legion, Pikeville Post 541 is a veterans organization who stregthens Pikeville through programs, services, and advocacy for those who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces, youth, and communities.

Lions Club - The Pikevill Lions Club was established on March 26th 1946 and continues to fullfill the visions set forth by Melvin Jones in 1917.  Our Motto is "We Serve" and we take this to heart doing whatever is necessary to help our communities.  We are best known for fighting blindness through vision screeenings and other local efforts related to vision needs.  Our club serves in many other ways including aiding seniors & the disabled, supporting our local students with scholarships & school supplies, providing immediate needs to help other communities affected by natural disasters and provides resources needed for our youth to attend camp that deliver recreation & mentoring programs.  This is made possible through our fundraising efforts of selling brooms, cutlery, and our annual golf tournament.  The club meets every 4th Monday at St. Joseph Methodist Church in Pikeville at 6:30pm where we enjoy food, fun, and fellowship.  If you are interested in learning more about the Pikeville Lions Club or want to join us, please call Hank Stewart (919)222-5886 or Reding Pittman (919)920-0798.
