The Pikeville Police Department offers a variety of services to residents & members of the community. We strive to provide beneficial & adequate law enforcement services to the residents & business owners of this community that make Pikeville such a wonderful place to live, work & play. Residence Check - this request is made to have officers perform periodic residence checks of your home while you are away on extended leave from your home. This service is beneficial to residents leaving their home for vacations, travels and out of state excursions.

Security Screenings - this request is made to have officers perform a security check of your residence to advise of any additional security measures to be taken on the property. This is a beneficial service for new residents and homebuyers concerned with locks, latches, camera systems and exterior security features.

Contact Office

Elderly Watch Program - this request is made to have officers make daily contact with individuals within the city limits to ensure the individuals well-being. An officer will make contact with the individual via telephone or in-person visit once per shift. This service is beneficial for individuals who have family members who live alone and may be suffering from a physical ailment or mental condition which limits their mobility or mental faculties.

Elderly Watch Form

Speed Surveys – this request is made to have officers conduct a speed survey in your neighborhood or area for excessive speeding from the motoring public. This service is beneficial in identifying speed complaint areas to focus traffic enforcement.

Contact Office

Vehicle Lockouts – this request is made to have officers assist individuals who have locked their keys inside their vehicle. Safety circumstances such as a child or pet locked in the car are priority given request and a complimentary service is provided to residents.

Roadside Assistance – this request is made to have officers assist stranded motorist with limited assistance in a roadside emergency. These included refueling after running out of fuel, jump starts on vehicle battery systems, changing tires and providing an available wrecker. This service is beneficial for motorist stranded within a one-mile radius of Pikeville.

Business Escorts – this request is made to have an officer standby at the closing of business to provide safety & security for employees. This service is beneficial for businesses closing after dark or with concerned staff.
